Swaying gently in the breeze, the piñata hung tantalizingly low as she stood beneath it. The soft sound of the wind brushing against her skin was drowned out by the rhythmic thud of a baseball bat hitting the piñata. As she watched, chocolate, candies, and other treats spilled out onto the grass, signaling the impending satisfaction of her sweet tooth. But when the piñata finally broke apart, something far more desirable fell out: a pair of shiny silver balls. Her heart raced as she bent down to pick them up, her fingers brushing against the smooth metal as she palmed them in her hand. The heat from her body combined with the coolness of the metal, sending a shiver down her spine. As she stood up, she felt a pair of eyes on her back. Turning around, she found herself face to face with a wild animal.
